What's this course
for?
To enable you to work as a qualified swimming teacher. Teach a range of abilities
from non-swimmers to early competition standard, supervise and organise assistant
teachers.
The syllabus?
Covers:
Knowledge of how to prepare sessions
How to manage sessions
Dealing with accidents and emergencies
Effective child protection
How to support the learning process.
Prerequisites?
Candidates must be 18 years at commencement of the course
Hold an ASA assistant teachers (level 1) certificate
Hold an ASA preliminary teachers certificate
Purchase a ASA Teachers certificate Logbook prior to the course
Is there an exam?
Yes, and the course tutor will assess your logbook and continually assess your
teaching skills throughout the course.
