I am the owner of FATE and have written the FAW and Paediatric First Aid manuals, comments and feedback welcome!

Back Ground:

I'm a State registered Paramedic (love it) working for the North West Ambulance Service and have worked in Local Government as a Training Officer (5 years of fun), I started as a YTS Leisure Attendant(chief brew maker) at a Swimming Pool in Blackburn working through as a Swimming Teacher up-to a post as a Duty Manager (not good at delegating so I hated it). I also have experience of working in a packing factory and been self employed as a Trainer. I have over 20 years experience teaching and assessing in adult education and in schools. Not bad for a 21 year old!!!

Interests:

How the body works (wonderful thing the body), visiting a variety of public houses and cooking!

My Motto:

"If it isn't fun it isn't worth doing"

I am semi retired but still very active (37 years!) with voluntary work for the Royal Lifesaving Society UK teaching people of all ages about water safety, CPR and first aid skills

Back ground: 

I was a Police Officer serving with the Lancashire Constabulary in various locations for 15yrs.

I became employed by the local council and taught swimming to children and adults at the local pool until being employed by The Local Education Authority teaching swimming to children and adults with special needs were I remained until retirement.

Interests:

My hobbies are:- fell walking, running, cycling and swimming.

My Motto:

You’re never too old to learn, enjoy life!

 I'm a natural show off and enjoy singing when I'm not working in my Local Government Job

Back Ground:

 I worked in the British Army as an Analyst but was always very sporty and enjoyed hockey, netball and rounders. I qualified in a range of fitness instructor certificates whilst maintaining my First Aid qualifications. I enjoy teaching First Aid meeting people from a range of industries.

Interests: 

Singing as a soloist and part of an Acapella choir.

My Motto:

I'm still thinking about this one!

Background:

I worked in Leisure for a few years and enjoy keeping fit, swimming and socialising! I am a serving Fire Fighter for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. I have taken my Teaching Qualifications and enjoy teaching people First Aid and giving them the confidence to use the basic Lifesaving skills needed to help during an emergency 

Interests:

Fitness, using my Trauma skills and achieving positive results with students on my courses.

Described as:

Dynamic, positive and ridiculously healthy looking!

  I Work in the Fire and Rescue Services. I'm a Trauma Technician, a Swift Water Technician and Emergency Fire Appliance Driver.

 First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work, CPR skills.
 

Background:

 I have 8 years experience in the Fire and Rescue Service, I enjoy Teaching and have taken my Teaching Qualifications to enhance my skills. I feel that First Aid is a knowledge and skill that everyone of all ages should have.
 

Interests:

 I play Football and generally keeping a good level of fitness. I also enjoy socialising on a regular basis!!!

First Aid, AED, NPLQ Units 1 & 2, National Rescue Test for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRTSTC)

Background:

I started after-school Swimming Teaching in Blackburn in 1994 and taught for over 10 years. I was then persuaded to do the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Trainer/Assessers qualification and I still train Lifeguards across the Councils Swimming Pools each week. At the same time I completed the First Aid, AED and NRASTC Trainer qualifications.

Interests:

I used to be very fit and mental about various exercise and sports, alas I have had to let that go. I do enjoy road trips to Germany in alittle Sports car with my husband. I love my three cats, Stanley, Stuart and Sasha. I also love chocolate (unfortunatly)
